The Art Of Speaking

Working under the tutelage of Ving Giang, Lisa Nichols and being a seasoned Toastmaster has inspired me to help others in their journey to becoming a better speaker.

Elements we cover:
  • Body Language
  • Vocal Variety
  • Eye Contact
  • Stage Presence
  • Proper use of Stage/Podium/Lectern
  • Fluency
  • Words to Eliminate
  • Virtual Meeting Etiquette
  • Speech Writing
  • And More
The art of speaking encompasses the skillful and intentional use of language, tone, body language, and delivery techniques to effectively convey ideas, emotions, and messages to an audience. It involves not just speaking clearly and confidently but also engaging and connecting with listeners, whether in one-on-one conversations, group discussions, presentations, or public speeches. The art of speaking goes beyond mere words; it involves understanding your audience, tailoring your message to resonate with them, and using rhetorical devices, storytelling, and persuasive techniques to captivate and persuade. It also includes active listening, empathetic communication, and the ability to adapt your message based on feedback and the context of the communication. Ultimately, mastering the art of speaking empowers you to communicate with impact, influence others, and build meaningful connections.

From preparing a wedding toast to gearing up for a debate, addressing colleagues in meetings, chatting with classmates, or presenting virtually or on stage, as a public speaking coach and assessor, I assist people in refining their communication and listening abilities. I offer constructive feedback, focusing on areas for growth, to improve their speaking endeavors. Effective communication goes beyond mere words—it's about connecting and engaging with your audience.

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

-Ephesians 4:29
